Software engineering for healthcare operations and enterprise teams.

I am Pravesh Singh, a software architect and technology entrepreneur based in India. I serve as the Managing Director and CTO of SoftEdge Technology Solutions. For over fifteen years, I have designed and delivered web systems, cloud infrastructure, and operational software. My primary project is iCare, a digital health platform used by treatment centres across Punjab and Madhya Pradesh to manage hemophilia and thalassemia care.

Professional Background

Writing software that fits clinic and workplace reality.

Code has to survive the messy reality of day-to-day operations: spotty hospital networks, busy clinic staff, and urgent patient transfers.

I lead software engineering at SoftEdge Technology Solutions, where we build web applications, APIs, and cloud services for organizations in healthcare and business operations.

A large part of my career has involved building healthcare software alongside clinical teams and state health administrators. Through our work on iCare with the National Health Mission (NHM) Punjab, the Punjab State AIDS Control Society (PSACS), and health authorities in Madhya Pradesh, I have spent significant time inside hospitals understanding how doctors, nurses, and pharmacists actually track treatments.

When emergency medicine is involved, theoretical software architectures do not help if a nurse cannot quickly verify a patient's dose history or if a pharmacist cannot locate available medicine nearby. That experience shapes how I build all systems: keeping interfaces clear, minimizing dependencies, making database queries predictable, and verifying that every screen serves an immediate operational need.

High availability by design
Hospitals operate around the clock. Databases and web services must handle network drops gracefully, preserve audit trails, and maintain reliable data backups.
Direct user feedback
We sit down with the medical officers, data operators, and program directors who use our tools daily to adjust workflows before deploying updates.
Clean, maintainable stacks
Using proven technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Linux containers that engineering teams can maintain without unnecessary complexity.
Pragmatic automation
Applying language models directly to practical data tasks, such as extracting structured fields from scanned clinical records.

Healthcare Information Technology

iCare

A digital registry and inventory platform designed for hemophilia and thalassemia care. Patients with bleeding disorders require periodic infusions of clotting factor concentrates. If a hospital pharmacy runs out of stock, delays can lead to permanent joint damage or life-threatening complications.

  • Portable patient profiles: A patient registered at one hospital can receive verified care and medicine at any other connected treatment centre without re-entering history.
  • Inventory tracking and stock transfers: Monitors vial batch numbers, expiry dates, and hospital stock levels, enabling centres with surplus medicine to transfer stock to clinics running low.
  • National health compatibility: Structured around Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) guidelines with encrypted storage and full audit trails for state health departments.
  • Statewide visibility: Provides health commissioners with real-time numbers on registered patients, treatment frequencies, and medicine usage patterns.

Internal Automation & AI

Practical Data Automation

We build focused internal utilities that use language models and retrieval systems to handle specific administrative data tasks.

  • Structured data extraction from scanned records and invoices
  • Document retrieval pipelines (RAG) grounded in verified technical manuals
  • Automated format conversion for government reporting requirements
